Our Services

Central WV Community Action provides services in Harrison, Lewis, Ritchie and Gilmer Counties that address the root cause of poverty to help families stabilize and improve their lives.

Head Start

Head Start is a federally funded pre-school program for children ages 3-5 to help them prepare for school and life.

Food Initiative

Local food assistance is provided at over 17 food pantries to ensure families are adequately supplied with food.

Family Services

Helping to meet the emergency needs of the community, while also placing them on the path to self-sufficiency.

Transportation

Weekly handicap-accessible transportation assistance is provided to those in need throughout Harrison County.

About Us

Central WV Community Action is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Harrison and Lewis Counties with the vision of ending poverty in Central WV.
